For his contributions to real estate, Henry Segerstrom will be honored by Stanford Professionals in Real Estate later this month at the alumni group’s induction banquet.
Segerstrom, a Stanford University alumnus, will be recognized for the C.J. Segerstrom and Sons’ development and management of South Coast Plaza and the Segerstrom Center of the Arts.
Stanford Professionals Executive Director Andy Walburger said there is no better person to celebrate and honor.
“He’s a visionary who converted lima bean fields into a premiere shopping, arts and office complex,” he said. “[Stanford Professionals is] honored that one of our fellow alumni has achieved so much.”
The Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 28 the Westin South Coast Plaza, 686 Anton Blvd., Costa Mesa. There will be a VIP reception and dinner.
On Nov. 9, Segerstrom, along with Malin Burnham of San Diego, will also be honored at the SPIRE Banquet at Burnham Pavilion at Stanford.
