Tree of Life Award, Jewish National Fund

In 1995, Margaret Thatcher presented Henry with the prestigious Tree of Life Award from the Jewish National Fund in recognition of his work to advance desalination exploration and research. This esteemed award distinguishes recipients’ commitment to community involvement, their dedication to the cause of American-Israeli friendship, and their dedication to peace and the security of human life. Past recipients have included former Vice President Al Gore and former Secretary of State Colin Powell. The Jewish National Fund, founded in 1901, is a worldwide organization dedicated to reclaiming the land of Israel and sharing its knowledge with other nations. They have pioneered advances in land and water management, afforestation and agricultural research as well as succeeded in working toward peace in the Middle East conflict zones through their water projects.
