Commendation for Distinguished Public Service, California Water Commission
Henry was recognized by the California Water Commission for his years as Director of the Orange County Water District (from 1957 to 1984). Henry Segerstrom served three consecutive terms as the President of the Board of Directors and initiated the District’s commitment to waste water reclamation that resulted in the construction of Water Factory 21, settling the long-standing water rights disputes in the Santa Ana River. Lending his business acumen to his work on the Board of Directors, Henry helped to establish a regional water management technique making the Orange County Water District unique in the State of California.
