COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA – July 25th, 2019 – On June 2nd, 2019, Elizabeth Segerstrom attended the wedding of piano superstar, Lang Lang and his fellow concert pianist and fianceé Gina Alice Redlinger in Paris, France. The wedding festivities began at the Shangri-La Hotel where Elizabeth Segerstrom, sitting alongside the Prince and Princess Micheal of Kent, watched as the couple exchanged vows. The second part of the service included a traditional tea ceremony that celebrated the groom’s Chinese heritage.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party, which included singer song-writer John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen, made their way to the Palace of Versailles. For the reception, the newlyweds performed an impromptu piano duet for their guests as they dined. The magical night ended in the hall of mirrors with a view of fireworks.
Elizabeth Segerstrom was one of only 150 guests in attendance along with Jay Chou and his wife Hannah Quinlivan, the Chinese ambassador to France, and Bianca Jagger. Elizabeth sits on the board of directors on the Lang Lang International Music Foundation. Founded to “educate, inspire, and motivate the next generation of music lovers and performers”, Elizabeth and Lang have worked together to make a difference in children’s lives through the arts.
